October 19, 2025 (Sunday): ELECTROTHERAPY IN REHABILITATION AND SPORTS MEDICINE: LATEST RESEARCH AND PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS. (8 academic hours)

Training begins (both days) at 9:00 AM. Doors open at 8:30 AM.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is possible to attend on either day separately or on both days.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program is registered in the VASPVT Competence Platform and approved by the Institute of Hygiene.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Participants are awarded 8 or 16 clinical specialty hours for competence development in the following groups:<\/strong> Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians, orthopedic trauma surgeons, sports medicine physicians, family physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, general practice nurses.<\/span><\/p>\n

The training is also suitable for the professional development of physical activity and sports specialists and instructors (personal trainers), high-performance sports specialists and coaches, massage therapists, trainers, movement specialists, and students of medicine and sports-related fields.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\u2013 Fundamentals of electrotherapy;<\/span>
\n\u2013 Modern electrotherapy techniques: FES \u2013 Functional Exercise Stimulation of the Motor Nerves \/ TENS \u2013 Specifics of Pain Treatment;<\/span>
\n\u2013 Electrotherapy treatment protocols;<\/span>
\n\u2013 Practical situations of different electrotherapy methods (practical sessions).<\/span><\/p>\n

October 8th program:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2013 Application of electrotherapy methods in rehabilitation and sports medicine \u2013 practical features;<\/span>
\n\u2013 Rapid recovery of muscular and physical condition after extreme physical exertion using active electrotherapeutic methods \u2013 experience and perspectives;<\/span>
\n\u2013 Preparation of athletes\u2019 physical condition using electrotherapy methods;<\/span>
\n\u2013 Electrotherapy in the process of muscle strength development, muscle strengthening and training;<\/span>
\n\u2013 Rehabilitation of high-performance athletes.<\/span><\/p>\n

LECTURER: prof. HEIKO VAN VLIET<\/strong> \u2013 licensed international electrotherapy instructor from Switzerland (Cefar Compex representative), professor at the Sports Department of Lausanne. Lecturer at the Dutch Centre for Sports and Physiotherapy Development, working with world-class athletes for over 30 years.
