Temporomandibular disorders (TMD)<\/strong> are a group of common clinical conditions involving the masticatory muscles, temporomandibular joint (TMJ), and surrounding structures<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

TMD is one of the most common causes of facial pain, jaw pain, and headaches<\/strong>, and it is associated with functional limitations such as difficulties with chewing, speaking, and yawning<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, patients with TMD often suffer from other disabling pain syndromes such as migraine, tension-type headaches, and neck pain<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The upper cervical region is a unique anatomical area of the spine that requires a specialized clinical rehabilitation approach.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a highly mobile region characterized by very precise and sensitive motor control and important neurological connections with the vestibular, visual, and trigeminal nerve systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Disturbances and dysfunction in this region can easily cause cranial and facial pain (cervicogenic headache) as well as sensory and motor complaints such as dizziness, numbness, or muscle weakness.<\/span><\/p>\n

This area responds well to manual therapy methods combined with physiotherapy techniques.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the course participants will learn how to practically assess and evaluate people suffering from musculoskeletal (myofascial) pain and dysfunction in the cranio-cervical region and develop effective evidence-based manual therapy skills.<\/span><\/p>\n
