DRY NEEDLING COURSE LEVEL 1&2<\/span><\/strong>

1&2 level course length is 5 days. Live attendance only.<\/span><\/p>\n

The training will take place with translation into Lithuanian.<\/span><\/p>\n

DRY NEEDLING COURSE LEVEL 1&2<\/span><\/p>\n

LEVEL 1: September 14-16th<\/span>
\nLEVEL 2: September 16-18th<\/span><\/p>\n

Each level is 21 hours, 42 hours in total.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can take only level 1 OR level 1&2 in conjunction.<\/span><\/p>\n

Course is in English with translation into Lithuanian.<\/span><\/p>\n

All participants will get 24 academic hour value CERTIFICATION suitable for doctors and physiotherapists licensing.<\/span><\/p>\n

They will also get certification of international Dry Needling Institute represented by the authorized representative Club-physio.<\/span><\/p>\n

TARGET AUDIENCE: doctors (all specialties) and physiotherapists.<\/span><\/p>\n

LECTURER: CRAIG SMITH \u2013 he is a practicing Sports Physiotherapist, registered with both the Health Professions Councils of SA and the UK and is a member of the South African Society of Physiotherapy and the Sports Physiotherapy Group in SA (Passed Chair of the SPG NEC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Association of Chartered Physios in Sports Medicine in the UK. Dry Needling courses are for healthcare therapists\/professionals (clinical physiotherapists (PT\u2019s), chiropractors (DC\u2019s), osteopaths (DO\u2019s), podiatrists, soft tissue and manual therapists, kinesiologists, doctors, nurses, medical specialists and acupuncturists) for whom dry needling is within your scope of practice and you are legally permitted to needle in your registered country\/state. No minimum dry needling or previous acupuncture experience required but presumed anatomy, advanced palpation skills and clinical expertise is expected due to the advanced nature and in depth structure of our DN courses. Professional indemnity insurance as per your professional body is also a pre-requisite.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some sports\/rehab\/massage therapists can apply subject to scope of practice with your professional organization, theoretical and practical experience and having professional indemnity insurance.<\/span><\/p>\n

PROGRAM:<\/span><\/p>\n

Level 1 \/ 21 hours of theoretical and practical activities (you will get handouts in advance):<\/span>
\n– Introduction to connective tissue and muscular therapy (Dry Needling);<\/span>
\n– Safety and precautionary requirements;<\/span>
\n– Indications \/ contraindications;<\/span>
\n– Complications \/ instructions for connective tissue and muscular technique;<\/span>
\n– Protocols for connective tissue and muscle technique procedures.<\/span><\/p>\n

Level 2 \/ 21 hours of theoretical and practical activities:<\/span>
\n– Anatomy and clinical cases of connective tissue and muscle technique (Dry Needling therapy);<\/span>
\n– Revise and practical evaluation of muscles discussed in the course of connective tissue and muscle technique therapy;<\/span>
\n– Breaking down all the muscle groups into segments and practical application of Dry Needling to each segment (arms, legs, calves, thighs, abdomen, pelvis, chest, neck);<\/span>
\n– Working with \u201crisky\u201d areas;<\/span>
\n– Application of connective tissue and muscular technique in clinical cases (rotator cuff, \u201ctennis elbow\u201d, neck and back pain, hamstring muscle group pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines, musculus piriform syndrome, tendinopathy, arthropaties, etc.);<\/span>
\n– Practice in treating patients.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the only way to prepare for the Dry Needling Therapy Exam and become a certified international professional. Only after completing both level 1&2 courses and passing the qualifying exam will you receive an international level certificate in practicing connective tissue and muscle technique (Dry Needling therapy) and will be able to fully apply this practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dry Needling (DN) is a skilled intervention that uses a thin filiform needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points, muscular, and connective tissues for the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments.<\/span><\/p>\n

This connective tissue and muscle technique (Dry Needling therapy) is a type of acupuncture adapted to treat the common health problems of today. Traditional acupuncture is more about relieving pain and discomfort by opening up the flow of human energy (chi). The goal of this therapy is to apply directly to the trigger points, to reduce muscle pain, spasms, muscle relaxation, increasing the amplitude of movement. The term \u201cdry\u201d is due to the fact that no injections of liquids are allowed into the body during this procedure.<\/span><\/p>\n

Needles are much thinner, more flexible, rounded rather than tapered at the sharp end, so they are not painful during a puncture compared to conventional injection needles.<\/span><\/p>\n
